Many exciting events took place at the temple in the month of September. The seminar on Women’s issues moderated by Dr Jayanthi Srinivasaiah covered many important aspects of Women’s health. Those who attended felt that they gained much insight into the topics discussed. Dr Sujatha Reddy’s Osteoporosis screening project attracted many including a few who were diagnosed with osteoporosis and received advice and treatment plan from Dr S.K. Naidu. Our sincere thanks to all those involved in the seminar and health screening.

Smitha Madhav, the young lady from Hyderabad, won the hearts of one and all with her scintillating dance performance and melodious rendition of Carnatic music. The September 23 performance organized by the Telugu Association of Metro Atlanta to benefit the Vegesna Foundation was well attended. The orchestral support was superb and every one enjoyed the program immensely.

Dasara celebrations were observed at the temple with many festivities. The Bommala Koluvu (Golu) and the miniature Koluvus added a new dimension to the beautiful decorations of deities and the surroundings. The grand finale of the Dasara celebrations was the Pulangi Seva and the Nutana Rathotsavam. Hundreds of devotees volunteered at every step to make the event a grand success. 

One event worth mentioning was the group Saraswathi puja organized by the Bala Vihar teachers. More than 250 children participated in this event, which was managed very professionally. The organizers deserve to be commended for making such a tremendous task a huge success.

Right understanding, unwavering faith, single pointed devotion-these are qualities of the Spirit within.
