May SriinivaaSa-who dwells on the sacred veenkataacala, who gives to the supplicants; who is the repository of all that is auspicious; and who is the love of Goddess Lakshmi-shine forth. |
November was an exciting month with celebrations of Karthika Deepam, Jwala Thoranam, Homage to Nataraja and the annual Thanksgiving puja and luncheon at the temple. The organizers deserve special recognition for making them successful in every sense.
The jewel in the crown of temple programs in November was the vocal concert by
Padmasri Sudha Raghunathan on Saturday, November 4. Never in the past did the temple witness overflowing crowds that it handled for a music concert. Many were turned away due to lack of accommodation. The concert that lasted for four hours was flawless and generated close to $5000 for temple coffers. We regret any inconvenience to our patrons during Sudha’s program.
Everyone is getting ready for two major upcoming events, namely the Vaikunta Ekadasi on December 30 and the
Navodaya 2007 celebrations on January 1, 2007. Please check the special event calendar for details. Please contact Raju Vanapalli (770) 603-8585 or Rajyam Mohan (770) 471-0921 for any questions regarding religious activities. For information regarding Navodaya 2007, please call Tulasi Vanapalli (770) 603-8585.
The year 2006 is coming to an end. Many phenomenal events took place at the temple through out the year. Countless dedicated volunteers worked day and night to ensure the success of each and every program. On behalf of the executive committee and the board of trustees, we thank one and all for their participation.
Do good, Be good and Say good- That is the way to God
