Dasara Celebrations - Bommala Koluvu
Saturday, September 23, 2006 – Monday, October 2, 2006
It is customary to do the koluvu (bommala koluvu) at the Hindu Temple of Atlanta as a part of the Dasara celebrations.
Last year, we had the koluvu at the Balaji temple as well as the Siva temple, with the help from many devotees. It was a huge success!
This year, we would like more children to participate in this event by displaying their own miniature Koluvus according to the specifications mentioned below.
We can accommodate up to 10 koluvus to be displayed at our temple.
The following are the guidelines for Koluvu displays:
1. The size of the display board should be 3ft X 3ft or less in size .
2. The display should represent an appropriate theme Eg:
Dasavatharalu, Theme on any God or Goddess,
Indian Festivals and celebrations, Doo doo basavvana, Village, etc
Please send your entries to lakshmivedala@yahoo.com
and rajabmohan@hotmail.com
by Saturday, September 2nd.
We can only accommodate 10 displays. Please respond quickly.
*Temple is not responsible for setting up and removing the koluvu.
